Bilateral Meeting between Danish-Korean Foreign Minsters Held in Seoul

The meeting took place in the afternoon of October 13th, occasion of the Danish Foreign Minister’s visit to Korea on October 13-14th, 2017.
The ministers discussed the importance of the strategic partnership between the Republic of Korea and Denmark, including but not limited to the areas of green growth and trade relations, both welcoming the continued implementation of the Joint Action Plan from 2016 that set up 30 areas of joint cooperation for 2016-2019. The foreign ministers also underlined the importance of the 60th diplomatic anniversary in 2019 and expressed support for the preparations of various exchanges and activities to be held in that year.
The current tension on the Korean Peninsula was also a key agenda. The ministers strongly condemned the North Korean nuclear and missile programme and called for a strong and unified response from the international community in addressing this challenge.

Foreign Minister H.E. Anders Samuelsen met with his Korean counterpart, H.E. Kyung-wha Kang, for the first ever bilateral meeting between Danish-Korean foreign ministers since 2013.
