Nordic Lifestyle Week to be held at Hyundai department store in Pangyo

18.10.2017  09:57

The brand list includes well-established Danish names in Korea such as Royal Copenhagen (porcelain) and Bang & Olufsen (home entertainment). In total, 10 Danish brands will participate in the fair including Baby Dan (children’s furniture), Bambo Nature (eco-friendly diapers), Fritz Hansen (furniture), Jabra (bluetooth speakers), Lego Wear (children’s clothing), Matzform (furniture), Montana (system module furniture), and Ringsted Dun (goose bedding).

The selection includes three brands that just entered the Korean market this year. The furniture brand Matzform offers consumers a choice between premium fabric from Kvadrat and Italian leather to cover the furniture frame, while Lego Wear offers winter clothing for children such as down jackets. Specialising in children’s furniture including safety equipment for childproofing your home, Baby Dan is expected to be well received by Korean parents interested who are not only interested in Scandinavian design but also children’s health and safety.

The embassies aim to provide a rich experience to shoppers by combining the fair with various events. The department store’s culture centre will feature a children’s shadow puppet theatre based on Danish fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen’s ‘The Snow Queen’, while events such as auctions for the Nordic Ambassadors’ gifts (prior registration required)  and giveaways will be held by the participating companies.
