Denmark is the world’s sixth most innovative country

The Global Innovation Index 2017 ranks Denmark sixth out of 130 countries.

Denmark has jumped from 8th to 6th in the world’s most innovate countries. In the latest Global Innovation Index (GPI) report, Denmark was ranked highly in research innovation and development, stability in its political environment, efficiency, and its business structure that ranks fourth in the world.

The Global Innovation Index is developed by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Cornell University, and INSTEAD. The report measures countries' innovativeness based on parameters such as economy, education, infrastructure, business structure, and political environment. Topping the list this year were Sweden, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, respectively.
