Biocare Copenhagen A/S announces product launch in Korea

Biocare Copenhagen is a joint-venture project with the Copenhagen University Hospital in the areas of research and development. The company focuses on probiotics, dietary fibers, microbial lysates and medical devices. Biocare Copenhagen is the #1 probiotics company in Denmark (source: DLI MI, the Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry) and the company has reached great results in both the domestic and overseas markets within 3 years of its establishment.

The event on 13 November signalled Biocare Copenhagen’s launch in the South Korean market. The health food manufacturer and distributor ‘Health Balance’ will introduce 4 Biocare Copenhagen’s probiotics products through its exclusive distribution agreement with the Danish company, with more to come in the coming years. The launch event was attended by Per Okkels, the Permanent Secretary of the Danish Ministry of Health; Thomas Lehmann, the Danish Ambassador; Søren Thomsen, the CEO of Biocare Copenhagen; Michael Tvede, Copenhagen University Hospital MD; Jeomgyun Lee, CEO of Health Balance; and much more.

H.E. Per Okkels visited South Korea on 12-13 November 2015. His visit included a joint committee meeting with the Korean Ministry of Health and Wellfare, a Danish Healthcare business round table and a launch event for Biocare Copenhagen.
