Embassy of Denmark in Korea - Novo Nordisk Pharma Korea - Seoul Metropolitan City Signing of MOU Agreement on Corporate Social Responsibility

The Embassy of Denmark announced that it has concluded Community Contribution Joint Cooperation Agreement with Seoul Metropolitan City and Novo Nordisk on Tuesday, November 14.

In accordance with this agreement, the Embassy of Denmark in Korea will support the social contribution activities of Danish companies in Korea, and Novo Nordisk will actively contribute to the community in order to help many healthcare-disadvantaged people in Seoul for the next three years starting from November 2017.

The city of Seoul will be responsible for the administrative support system needed for the successful implementation of the social contribution projects. In addition, the city of Seoul, the Embassy of Denmark and Novo Nordisk will actively participate in promoting additional cooperation projects by not only practicing the contents of this agreement, but also finding vulnerable groups with less public support.

Ambassador of Denmark to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Thomas Lehman said: "We will continue to make efforts to promote friendship and cooperation between our two countries in various fields through the role of pouring our attention to cooperation with Danish companies."

Maziar Mike Doustdar, Executive Vice President, International Operations at Novo Nordisk, said, “Our mission is to make a difference to people with diabetes all over the world and we are very happy to be in Seoul to participate in the Take Action project together with the Danish Embassy and Seoul Metropolitan Government. We can only make a true difference by working together and creating meaningful partnerships like this.”
