The ties between Denmark and South Korea are already strong, and with President Park proposing to strengthen cooperation in utilizing Arctic shipping routes and with Prime Minister Rasmussen calling for a joint action plan on a range of issues, including health care and maritime security, the cooperation between the two countries is set to become even more extensive in the future.

The summit between the two leaders was held on 27 September during the big UN General Assembly in New York.

They both expressed the hope that the fifth meeting of the Korean-Danish Green Growth Alliance to be held on 6th October in Copenhagen would produce fruitful results and agreed to continue to work closely together to ensure that the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) would make substantive contributions to developing nations' efforts to deal with climate change and realize sustainable development.
