Copenhagen announced its candidacy to host the UIA World Congress of Architects in 2023.

If Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is elected as host city for the UIA (the International Union of Architects) congress, visitors can look forward to experiencing the many attributes of the most livable and safe city in the world. Copenhagen is well known for its historic atmosphere combined with vibrant and innovative architecture. Furthermore, Copenhagen has a declared focus on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and will use the congress to set focus on the city’s progress with the implementation of these.

Copenhagen is running against Lausanne, Madrid, Baku, Antalya and Kuala Lumpur. The final selection of the host city of the UIA World Congress of Architects in 2023 will take place in Seoul this September at the general assembly of the UIA.
