Yonsei University celebrates the past, present, and future in its Denmark Day, held 8-9th of May.
Denmark was chosen for this year’s Global Day celebration at Yonsei University. Denmark Day is co-hosted by Yonsei Global and Danish exchange students under the supervision of the Office of International Affairs and the Embassy of Denmark in Seoul.
H. E. Peter Lysholt Hansen, the Danish ambassador to Korea, visited Yonsei Global Lounge, where the event was held, to give a congratulatory speech. The speech was followed by a question and answer session with the students and a brief meeting with Paul Tonks, the Associate Dean of the Office of International Affairs.
Yonsei Global Denmark Day is held May 8th-9th from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Global Lounge. The event aims to introduce Denmark’s past (the Viking period and Denmark’s Monarchy), present (the Danish education system, green economy, Danish design, the alliance between Korea and Denmark), and its future (the Arctic and international green growth efforts). Booths have been set up with the help of Danish companies including Lego, Maersk, Novo Nordisk, Jabra, Royal Copenhagen, Hummel, as well as Dongwon and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).
