Danish-Korean Ministerial Meeting at the GLACIER Conference

The Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Kristian Jensen, attended the Conference on Global Leadership in the Arctic: Cooperation, Innovation, Engagement and Resilience (GLACIER) held 30-31 August in Alaska. Having formed a strong partnership within green growth in 2011 with the Green Growth Alliance, the Danish Minister met with his Korean counterpart, H.E. Yun Byung-se, in a bilateral meeting held on Sunday, 30 August.

The GLACIER Conference was hosted by the U.S. Department of State to focus the world's attention on the most urgent issues facing the Arctic today. Invited to the conference were foreign ministers and high-level leaders from the 8 Arctic nations as well as countries and intergovernmental bodies with strong interests in the Arctic, including Denmark, the Republic of Korea, France, India, Germany, the European Union, and more. Also attending the event were leading policy makers, indigenous leaders and influential public and private sector representatives from around the world.
