Danish parliament agrees on revised Climate Action Plan

In May 2020, the Danish government announced its goal of reducing CO2 emission levels by 70% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels in its Climate Action Plan. A few weeks ago, the parliament agreed upon a revised Clmate Action Plan with additional, more ambitious initiatives. Under the new plan, Denmark aims to further cut its CO2 emissions reductions by 1.4 million tonnes (the total goal being 3.4 million tonnes), a green tax reform, and an additional 1GW wind park, alongside the new energy islands that are estimated to produce 5GW of wind power.
