2015 Global Entrepreneurial Energy Camp Held in KAIST

01.09.2015  10:00

The 2015 Global Entrepreneurial Energy (GEE) Camp hosted by KAIST brought 25 university students from Korea, Denmark, Canada, and Switzerland to participate in a week-long camp within the energy and environmental sector. With lectures, company visits, group discussions, and a final presentation, the GEE camp was modelled after the 2014 Grundfos Student Innovation Camp organized by the Innovation Centre (ICDK) at the Embassy of Denmark in Seoul (read more her).

The GEE camp received highly positive feedback; Andreas Aabo, a Danish graduate student in engineering management at DTU remarked “the GEE camp was like a miniscule version of Silicon Valley; the organizers laid out the important interfaces between engineering and business. Knowing the imperatives of investors, how to pitch your idea, and cooperate with them in the long run eliminates many barriers that engineers can find intimidating.”

Facilitating discussions and partnerships between students, researchers, companies, and policy makers of Korea and Denmark is the focal point of the ICDK. September 10 will see the Smart Solutions for Innovative Cities conference headed by the ICDK being held at the Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen. Read more about the conference here.
