Embassy of Denmark Presents COPENHAGEN SOLUTIONS in Seoul

21.08.2015  05:31

Organized by the Embassy of Denmark in Seoul and co-hosted by the Seoul Municipality Government, COPENHAGEN SOLUTIONS officially opened on 19 August at the Seoul City Hall lobby. Participating in the ribbon cutting ceremony were representatives from both organizations: First Secretary Lea Stubbe Teglbjærg, Deputy Director of International Relations Hye Jeong Cho, and Deputy Director of Climate Chang Jun Seong Yoon.

COPENHAGEN SOLUTIONS runs from August 19th to September 8th and presents the city development policies that transformed the Danish capital from a polluted, dilapidated industrial city to a smart and vibrant green city it is today. The exhibition includes experiences such as Copenhagen Harbour’s redevelopment that has enabled Copenhageners to swim, fish and ride boats in the heart of the city since 2002. The Embassy of Denmark aims to inspire citizens, experts, and policymakers alike to think about green solutions in an urban setting as well as to promote the close relations between the two capitals of Korea and Denmark, which signed a Memorandum of Understanding for increased cooperation in areas such as climate change in 2014.

Visitors are welcome to take part in an exclusive giveaway event where 10 winners will be chosen every week during the exhibition period to win gifts such as LEGO sets and the embassy canvas tote bags. To participate, visitors should take a photo at the exhibition venue, share it publically on social media with the hashtag #COPENHAGENSOLUTIONS, then share the link to the photo on the Embassy Facebook (see link below) or Naver blog event page http://bit.ly/1Kiyly8.
