Seminar on Patient Centred Approach in the Primary Healthcare on February 26

22.02.2021  08:49

On Friday February 26, the Embassy of Denmark in Korea will host a webinar aimed at providing insight into the current efforts in Korea and Denmark to keep the patient at the center of their treatment journey. Titled ‘Patient Centred Approach in the Primary Healthcare Sector’, the online seminar will be livestreamed on YouTube at 4-6 PM (KST) on February 26.

Korea and Denmark face the common challenge of an aging society, and both countries expect to see continuously rising numbers of chronic diseases while resources and healthcare professionals remain limited. As such, the webinar poses - and answers - the following questions: How do we ensure the healthcare system remains sustainable on the long run? What kind of innovative and integrated care solutions can help keep the individual patient’s needs at the centre? How can public-private partnerships be utilized to the benefit of the patients?

The webinar will be opened by Ambassador of Denmark to Korea, H.E. Einar Jensen. Keynote speeches will be given by Ms. Choi Youn Sook, Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea; and Ms. Jane Heitmann, the Chairman of the Health and Senior Citizens' Committee at the Danish parliament.

Presenting at the seminar will be representatives from the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Korea; Healthcare Denmark; Seoul National University Hospital; the Korea Spinal Cord Injury Association; the Danish Association of General Practitioners; and KAIST. Topics covered will range from the importance of personalised patient care; the latest integrated patient care solutions; as well as how public-private partnerships may benefit patients while ensuring the healthcare sector remains sustainable within an aging society.

The webinar will be in English and can be streamed free of charge. Pre-registration is required at

Livestream on 26 February at 8-10 AM (CET) / 16-18 PM (KST):
