Innovation Centre Denmark (ICDK) Seoul was established in 2013 with the mission to elevate Danish science and innovation through collaboration with world-leading ecosystems. ICDK Seoul is one of seven global Danish innovation centres, which works on a consultancy basis for Danish enterprises within three focus areas: Green Transition, Digitisation and Entrepreneurship.

On a yearly basis, the centre has individual paying customers, as well as a number of universities and research institutions visiting and creating partnerships or agreements with Korean counterparts, as non-paying customers. The centre performs its effort mainly through four types of activities: advising SMEs and start-ups, facilitating higher education collaboration, building partnerships in the field of science and technology, and market assessment.

 

Role
The student assistant will be part of a dynamic team in ICDK Seoul and his/her role would include but not limited to:
• conduct research and analysis on Korean market, technology, and governmental policy
• plan and execute events with particular focus on the areas of green transition, digitisation and entrepreneurship
• assist in commercial innovation tasks when Danish companies, universities and research institutions visit Korea
• be responsible for ad-hoc administrative tasks, as well as a general maintenance of ICDK’s databases, archives and reports

 

Requirements and working conditions
ICDK Seoul is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs per week) student assistant for an initial period of six months with the opportunity for extension another six months based on performance.
Applicants must have a relevant educational background (business/science/innovation/ international relations/communication etc.) with excellent written and verbal skills in English and Korean language. Successful candidates would be open-minded, take initiatives, able to work independently and have a good understanding of innovation ecosystem. Prior experiences within the relevant field would be an advantage.

• Duration: 6 months (initial duration) 18th July 2024 to 18th of January 2025
• Working hours: 09:30 AM - 17:00 PM (total 37.5 hours per week)
• Compensation: Monthly allowance
• Holidays: Up to 2 days of holiday per month (total 12 days)
