Job Description

The new student assistant in the Trade Council will join the Embassy’s team of dedicated Commercial Officers and work closely together with these in assisting Danish companies on the Korean market. Assignments include research about Korean market opportunities, arranging meetings and seminars and potentially handling a number of customer cases.

The Danish Trade Council assists Danish companies exporting and trading with South Korea, mainly within the sectors pharmaceutical/biotechnology, tech, renewable energy, green growth, retail/design and agriculture/food.

 

Job Requirements

The Embassy of Denmark is looking to employ a full-time (37.5hrs per week) student assistant for an initial period of 6months with the opportunity for extension based on performance. Applicants for the position must have a relevant educational background (business/international relations communication etc.). The assistant should be outgoing, open-minded, disciplined, be able to work independently and think innovatively. Strong English and Korean language skills are required. Working experience within one of the two sectors indicated above will be a positive add on. Furthermore, curiosity about Denmark and Danish culture and prior relevant work experience within the relevant field is an advantage. Your role will be to assist Commercial Officers with cases, meaning undertaking research assignments, speech drafting, logistics for seminars etc. The work-pace is fast, changeable and requires a firm eye for detail. Most importantly, you are expected to be a strong team player who is motivated by helping your colleagues towards great results. The position is an entry level position, but we welcome candidates who has ambitions to grow their responsibilities and role at the Embassy.
