Passionate about diplomacy, international business, or innovation? Join the Embassy of Denmark in Korea as a student assistant.

We are currently recruiting for three positions across different teams:

A. Political, Culture & Public Diplomacy
B. Trade Council
C. Innovation Centre Denmark Seoul

The Embassy of Denmark is a mid-sized Danish representation with approximately 30 staff. The Embassy is working with the primary aim of improving the already strong bilateral ties between Denmark and Korea through diplomatic, cultural, and commercial lines of cooperation. Further, we support Danes in Korea with consular assistance. We are currently looking for three student assistants to join our team.

 

 

A. Student Assistant – Political, Culture & Public Diplomacy

The student assistant in the Political and Public Diplomacy Section will join the Embassy’s team of dedicated staff and will assist the Embassy’s political, press, public diplomacy, and cultural activities. The assistant will also support diverse tasks by the consular staff at the Embassy

Together, this team is responsible for handling information and media requests, social media platforms, cultural and public diplomacy events, and ad hoc tasks related to assisting Danes in Korea. The Embassy is currently active on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Naver, and YouTube. It is our ambition to be at the forefront of online public diplomacy (or tech-plomacy as we like to call it) and you will be in charge of advancing our efforts further. Also, as we value cross-sectoral cooperation, the assistant will be expected to support all other sections at the Embassy where needed, including the Trade Council, the Innovation Centre, the Health department, and the Energy department.

 

Requirements

Applicants for the position should be enrolled in a university or a similar educational institute, and have a relevant educational and work background (political science, communication, international relations, journalism, marketing, PR, etc.) and a broad interest in international relations, administration, commerce, and culture.

Applicants should be responsible with a strong work ethic, self-motivated, open-minded, innovative, as well as capable of working both independently and in close cooperation with colleagues. Skills in online content creation, ranging from card news/infographics to video and photos are preferred, as well as an eye for identifying stories of interest to the Korean public and presenting it in a creative and visually engaging manner.

 

B. Student Assistant – Trade Council

The Danish Trade Council assists Danish companies exporting and trading with South Korea, mainly within the sectors pharmaceutical/biotechnology, tech, renewable energy, green growth, retail/design and agriculture/food.

As a student assistant at the Embassy, you will be assisting Danish companies on the Korean market. You’ll have the opportunity to research about Korean market opportunities, arrange meetings and seminars and potentially handle a number of customer cases.

 

Requirements

Applicants for the position should be enrolled in a university or a similar educational institute, and have a relevant educational and work background (business/ international relations communication etc.). The assistant should be outgoing, open-minded, disciplined, be able to work independently and think innovatively. The work-pace is fast, changeable and requires a firm eye for detail. Curiosity about Denmark and Danish culture and prior relevant work experience within the relevant field is an advantage.

 

C. Student Assistant – Innovation Centre Denmark Seoul

Innovation Centre Denmark Seoul assists Danish universities, clusters and startup companies collaborating with South Korea within science and technology heavy sectors such as space and quantum, AI and robotics, biotech and cleantech. We match partners and facilitate collaboration proactively through a wide range of projects as well as individual company cases.

As a student assistant you will be supporting the team in assisting Danish companies, start-ups and universities to collaborate with Korean partners. You’ll have the opportunity to research about Korean tech and innovation ecosystems, assist in preparing meetings and seminars and support a number of projects and cases.

 

Requirements

Applicants for the position should be enrolled in a university or a similar educational institute, and have a relevant educational (business, international relations, communication etc.) and work background. The assistant should be outgoing, open-minded, disciplined, be able to work independently and think innovatively. The work pace is fast, changeable and requires a firm eye for detail. Curiosity about emerging technologies and/ or entrepreneurship is an advantage.

 

Common Requirements and Working Conditions for all positions

Common Requirements

Native level fluency in both oral and written Korean as well as high proficiency in English is required. Most importantly, you are expected to be a strong team player who is motivated by helping your colleagues towards great results. The position is an entry level position, but we welcome candidates who have ambitions to grow their responsibilities and role at the Embassy. Curiosity about Denmark and Danish culture is an advantage.

Working Conditions

The Embassy of Denmark in Korea and Innovation Centre Denmark Seoul are looking to employ one full-time Student Assistant in each team for the duration of 6 months, starting 1 February 2026.
• Duration: 6 months
• Working hours: 09:30 AM - 17:00 PM (total 37.5 hours per week)
• Compensation: Monthly allowance
• Holidays: Up to 2 days of holiday per month (total 12 days)
