Embassy of Denmark presents Danish Pavilion at the 2025 Seoul Living Design Fair

(Seoul) The Embassy of Denmark in Korea will be presenting a Danish Pavilion at the 2025 Seoul Living Design Fair (SLDF), which will take place from February 26 to March 2 (Sunday) at COEX Hall A in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
The pavilion will feature Danish brands that are already well-loved in Korea, as well as brands that are considering expanding into the Korean markets. The eight participating brands include Bang & Olufsen (audio), The Dybdahl Co. (art prints), FLEXA (children's furniture), Georg Jensen Damask (textiles), Quilts of Denmark (bedding), UMAGE (lighting and furniture), VERPAN (lighting and furniture), and VOLA (water taps). The embassy has joined forces with the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) and Creative Denmark (a public-private partnership supporting the creative industries) for the pavilion.

The pavilion is focused on presenting Danish design traditions, including through the design of the booth itself. Clean, uncluttered lines, organic materials like wool, wood, and cotton, and a natural green colour reflect the core Danish design values of minimalism, functionality, and eco-friendliness.

The Creative Denmark and the Danish design brands will also share their insight into the design industry at the Global Creative Business Conference to be held on February 27 in the Grand Ballroom #103 in COEX. At 10:30 a.m., the panel discussion 'Danish Design: A Legacy of Sustainability' will focus on the sustainability and longevity of Danish brands. This will be followed by a panel discussion at 11:20 a.m. titled, 'Enhancing Well-Being: Danish Design as a Driver for Quality of Life’, which will focus on how Danish design enriches everyday life, as well as look into how it aligns with the design preferences and trends in the Korean market.

“Korea is an important market for Denmark, as it is highly sensitive to changes in design trends and has a significant influence on other markets,” said an embassy representative who organised the pavilion.

“The embassy’s goal is to stimulate exchange between the two countries' design communities through this Danish pavilion, which we hope will lead to increased creative collaboration and cultural synergy between our two countries.”

The Danish Pavilion can be found at Booth #371 at the 2025 Seoul Living Design Fair held February 26 to March 2 in Hall A at COEX. For more information, call 02-6363-4803.
